"Morbid Humor" Collection on Redbubble!

This series is not for the faint of heart. This is for those who possess a particular sense of humor. A "Game of Thrones"- esque, old school video gamer sense of humor. It is a series of digital pixel illustrations featuring the more unpleasant forms of punishment used during the Dark Ages and the Medieval period. The most horrid part is the use of pop culture references. The horror, the horror!

All are available for purchase on Redbubble. Get it on a postcard to send to a friend, a pillow so you can rest your head, or a sticker so you can put it anywhere! (The copyright will not be on the finished product.)

How's It Hanging?

This is a play on words. Also, it should be self explanatory.

Nice Rack

This is in reference to the "rack", a machine that
would pull the intended victim's arms and legs to
get a confession out of them. It is, also, a reference
to a slang term for a person't bust.

Stay Right There

This piece features Vlad the Impaler's
favorite way to keep people in one place.

Cat Scratch Fever

This piece's title is in reference to a torture
device called the "Cat's Paw". It was shaped
like cat claws and they were used to rip off
skin of the woeful victim.

Whip It Good

This piece's title is in reference to an 80's classic
and Devo's one hit wonder "Whip It".
The picture features a man whipping someone else.

This Beat Is Hawt!

This wasn't necessarily used in medieval times,
although they would burn feet. But it was found
in a fairy tale in which an evil witch is forced to
put on flaming hot metal shoes and 'dances' her
way to death. "Hawt" is actually an acronym that
stands for "Having A Wonderful Time"
while also meaning "hot".

We Will Rock You

This depicts a classic stoning during which the
intended victim would be pelted with stones
until his demise. It also references Queen's
stadium anthem, "We Will Rock You".

Hot In Herre

This features a victim being burned to death.
The title is in reference to Nelly's "Getting Hot in Here".

Saw You There

This one is a play on words. It features a death
by sawing, during which the victim would be hung
upside down by his legs and would be sawed
in half through the groin while still alive.

Give Head

This features a classic beheading with the head
decorating the end of a pike. It also features a
double entendre that should be self-explanatory.
It is always better to give than to receive.

Take A Break

This features the infamous wheel to which the
intended victim would be strapped down
and turned over a spit of nails with the sharp ends
turned towards the victim. The title of the
piece is simply a play on words.

Quarterly Review

This features one of the oldest forms of execution in France.
Each of the victim's limbs was tied to four horses. The horses
were then made to take off in different directions thereby
pulling the victim apart. Hence the title, "Quarterly Review".

SOLD!!!!! Bid on a set of Egyptian Daggers starting at $20.00 plus shipping.

Two short daggers with an Egyptian motif. Using the figures like that of Osiris and Isis, the rulers of the Ancient Egyptian gods. I think they are merely collectible, meant to be hung on a wall. I have never used them and do not recommend using them as more then just decoration - the blades are very thin and probably wouldn't stand a beating. They are very beautiful in person, with a nice sheen to them. They are approximately 13.75 inches in length with the handle. The blades are about 8 inches in length. They are in excellent condition, though I do not have the original box.

SOLD!!!! Bid on a set of cute Britney Spears Perfume Bottles and Sexy Graffiti by Escada starting at $0.99 plus shipping.

A collection of three small glass bottles that used to hold perfume. They were Britney Spears 'Fantasy' and 'Curious' and Escada's 2002 perfume 'Sexy Graffiti'. They are adorable little bottles. Unfortunately, I do not have their original boxes.

Stephenie Meyer Book Collection and Poster Collection: Consists of the
- a paperback version of 'Twilight',
- a paperback version of 'New Moon',
- a hardcover of 'Eclipse',
- a hardcover of 'The Second Short Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella',
- a hardcover of 'Breaking Dawn',
- a hardcover of 'The Host'.
- four posters of Edward and Jacob.

All of the hardcover books have their dust jackets, have only been read once, and are in great condition. However, the special edition hardcover of 'Eclipse' came with a poster and a set of iron ons with the words 'Team Edward' and 'Team Jacob'. The iron ons are gone, but the poster is still there - it's the dust jacket.

The posters are a one-of-the-kind set of keepsakes made from glitter card stock. Two of them feature the likeness of Robert Pattinson who plays Edward Cullen in the movies and the words 'Team Edward' in cursive font. The other two feature the likeness of Taylor Lautner who played Jacob Black in the movies and the words 'Team Jacob' in playful       all-caps.

Bridal Shower Umbrella SOLD!!!

Image copyright 2013
by Kara Muller.
I had already purchased the umbrella from another seller at a craft show that I was attending. I had bought it because I thought it was pretty and I'm a sucker for fluffy stuff.

by Kara Muller.
Anyway, it laid in my room for a few years before I found it again and realized it should have a second life with someone else. It already had some wonderful lace covering it (even on the inside), so I just wanted to perk it up some before selling it.

So I gave it a bit of a crafty face-lift:

* cleaned the handle,
* redecorated it with new flowers on the inside,
* added more of those same flowers to cover up the ugly metal prongs on the end,
* added a huge bow to cover up the metal tip at the top,
* used a tiny bit of bleach on some dark spots

And voila, beautiful once again!

I've called it a bridal shower umbrella, but it can also be used as a prop in a theatre production or what have you!

To buy it, go here to my Etsy store listing. To see more pictures of it, go here to my Facebook page photo album "Projects 2013". Be sure to 'like' my page while you're there and have a great day!

Framed Audrey Hepburn Photographs on Etsy!!!

I have finally framed some of the beautiful pictures I have of the wonderful and talented Audrey Hepburn. There are now on sale at my Etsy store! Links below.

"Audrey Hepburn (born Audrey Kathleen Ruston; 4 May 1929 – 20 January 1993) was a British actress and humanitarian. Recognised as both a film and fashion icon, Hepburn was active during Hollywood's Golden Age. She has since been ranked as the third greatest female screen legend in the history of American cinema and been placed in the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame.

"Born in Ixelles, a district of Brussels, Hepburn spent her childhood between Belgium, England and the Netherlands, including German-occupied Arnhem during the Second World War. In Amsterdam, she studied ballet with Sonia Gaskell before moving to London in 1948 to continue ballet training with Marie Rambert and perform as a chorus girl in West End musical theatre productions.

"After appearing in several British films and starring in the 1951 Broadway play "Gigi", Hepburn played the Academy Award-winning lead role in Roman Holiday (1953). Later performing in successful films like "Sabrina" (1954), "The Nun's Story" (1959), "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (1961), "Charade" (1963), "My Fair Lady" (1964) and "Wait Until Dark" (1967), Hepburn received Academy Award, Golden Globe and BAFTA nominations and accrued a Tony Award for her theatrical performance in the 1954 Broadway play, "Ondine". Hepburn remains one of few people who have won Academy, Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Awards.

She appeared in fewer films as her life went on, devoting much of her later life to UNICEF. Although contributing to the organisation since 1954, she worked in some of the most profoundly disadvantaged communities of Africa, South America and Asia between 1988 and 1992. She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in recognition of her work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in late 1992, but a month later, aged 63, Hepburn died of appendiceal cancer at her home in Switzerland in early 1993."
