I Hunt Killers - Free Preview (The First 10 Chapters): with Bonus Prequel Short Story I Hunt Killers - Free Preview (The First 10 Chapters): with Bonus Prequel Short Story "Career Day" by Barry Lyga
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"ENJOY AN EXTENDED PREVIEW [The First 10 Chapters] OF THIS ANTICIPATED NOVEL!

"Jazz is a likable teenager. A charmer, some might say.

"But he's also the son of the world's most infamous serial killer, and for Dear Old Dad, "Take Your Son to Work Day" was year-round. Jazz has witnessed crime scenes the way cops wish they could-from the criminal's point of view.

"And now, even though Dad has been in jail for years, bodies are piling up in the sleepy town of Lobo's Nod. Again.

"In an effort to prove murder doesn't run in the family, Jazz joins the police in the hunt for this new serial killer. But Jazz has a secret-could he be more like his father than anyone knows?

"Also included: a 3,000 word short-story prequel CAREER DAY!

"When your dad is a serial killer, things like Career Day don't go over so well. While classmates might be looking forward to joining the family business, Jazz knows he needs to find a new path in this original short story by Barry Lyga."

I actually enjoyed this short story quite a bit. I do wonder if it could've been added to the preface of the book "I Hunt Killers", but I think it's better that you know the characters first. A few surprises are in here: Howie's a lot more charming and funny this time, you read about how Jazz got his nickname and how he started going out with Connie. All very interesting.
